When Laura & Ange began planning their summer wedding at De Vere Horsley Estate in Surrey, they envisioned a day that felt joyful and fun — with live wedding music at the heart of it all. From the first conversation we had together, it was clear that this celebration would be full of personality, big dance floor energy and meaningful musical moments.

Set within acres of rolling Surrey parkland, De Vere Horsley Estate is where Historic architecture meets sweeping gardens, creating an effortlessly elegant backdrop for a sunny August wedding. With golden light pouring through the windows and guests spilling out onto the lawns with drinks in hand, the tone was relaxed yet refined — the perfect setting for an unforgettable night of live music.

The evening celebrations took place in The Sopwith, an intimate yet characterful space, that came alive as the sun set. The weather had been beautifully sunny all day, and by the time dancing began, the room was warm! Guests clutched folding fans to keep cool… but not one of them was willing to leave the dance floor.

For Laura & Ange, a 7-piece wedding band was the way to go. Our line-up featured male and female vocalists, saxophone, and a tight rhythm section — the perfect blend for a high-energy, premium live music experience. As is standard with any Anthem booking, we also provided a dedicated sound engineer, carefully balancing every note and vocal harmony, even as the party reached full throttle.

It’s always a pleasure to work alongside talented wedding suppliers who help capture and elevate the atmosphere of the day. Photographer Emma Moore worked tirelessly, catching golden-hour portraits and sweat-soaked dance floor smiles in equal measure. Videographer James Steer documented every spin, sing-along and celebratory embrace — moments Laura & Ange will relive for decades to come.

What made this Surrey wedding so special wasn’t just the stunning setting at De Vere Horsley Estate or the beautifully curated playlist. It was the feeling in the room — the sense that nobody wanted the night to end. Despite the heat, despite the fans fluttering in every direction, the dance floor remained gloriously full from the first dance to the final encore.
