Francesca & KT
Dorney Court, Berkshire
Francesca and KT’s wedding at Dorney Court was just the kind of day that we love to be a part of, offering equal parts elegance and irreverent fun. With its Tudor architecture and quietly romantic atmosphere, Dorney Court in the Berkshire countryside always feels like stepping into a storybook. But this celebration added its own vibrant chapter, blending heartfelt moments with a dance floor that refused to sit still.
Tucked within the grounds, The Coach House Barn offered the perfect setting for the evening celebrations. Its characterful, intimate space called for something tailored — and that’s exactly where our 5-piece wedding band came into its own.
An Intimate Setting with Big Energy
The Coach House Barn is wonderfully atmospheric. Exposed beams, warm lighting, and just enough space to feel close without ever feeling crowded. Francesca and KT were clear from the beginning: while the guest list was more on the intimate side, the party absolutely was not. They wanted energy, connection, and a dance floor that felt alive from the very first song.
Choosing a 5-piece live wedding band was the perfect fit for the space. It allowed the music to feel full and dynamic, without overwhelming the room — striking that balance between high-end live performance and a relaxed, inclusive party atmosphere. It meant every guest felt part of the moment, not just watching it.

A Personal Touch: Live Music from Friends
Before the evening celebrations began, guests were treated to something truly special. A performance by a string quartet, charmingly named ‘Peanut Butter Cello Time’, who were friends of the brides. This added a beautifully personal and slightly playful touch to proceedings.
There’s something undeniably meaningful about live music performed by people who know you, and it created a warm, anticipatory atmosphere as the day transitioned into evening. By the time we took to the stage, the room was ready to party. With great food eaten, delicious wine drunk and hearts full from the lovingly delivered speeches, it was time to dance the night away.

Carefully Curated Soundtrack
Francesca and KT chose ‘A Thousand Years’ by Christina Perri for their first dance. It was a timeless and emotional moment that brought the everyone together surrounding the newly weds and wishing them all the best for their married life.
From there, the night opened up into a setlist packed with personality. The brides had handpicked songs that guaranteed big dance floor energy. About Damn Time, I Kissed A Girl, and Shut Up and Dance all made the cut. It was a playlist designed not just to fill the room, but to ignite it with epic moments that will last a lifetime in the memory.
Dance Floor Moments to Remember
True to their word, Francesca and KT’s guests needed very little encouragement. The dance floor filled quickly and stayed that way. It was a constant swirl of movement, laughter, and unapologetic celebration.
What made the night especially memorable were those spontaneous, unscripted moments. Our band thrives on interaction, and this crowd gave it right back. There was guitar and keytar solos galore as our wireless musicians were surrounded by cheering guests and a collective sense that this was exactly the kind of party the brides had envisioned.
It’s these moments, a perfectly timed song, a shared lyric shouted back at the band, a spontaneous guitar solo in the middle of the crowd, that transform a wedding from beautiful, to unforgettable.
Francesca and KT’s celebration at Dorney Court was exactly that. Personal, stylish, and just the right amount of wild — a perfect reminder that the best weddings don’t just look incredible, they feel incredible too.
KIND WORDS
Hands down the best function band I’ve ever seen!!!
Hands down the best function band I’ve ever had the joy to experience. A guaranteed good time for any wedding/event. Exciting, modern funk arrangements, charismatic band members, and a truly incredible vocalist (with a killer range!?) – got *everyone* flocking to the dance floor, from my best pals (25-30s) and 16yr old cousins to aunties and 82 year old grandparents! It was just the right level of interactive – hyping up the crowd, complete with a fun ‘dance off’ at the end of the night. The musicians come into the audience to do brilliant solos, and it makes the whole thing feel way more than just a music set. It’s a unique, entertaining section of the evening that engages everyone. We got the package with extra lighting, which made the set up look STUNNING and super pro!
