When Emma & Phil first got in touch with us at Anthem Function Band, they told us just how important live music was to their wedding day. They wanted their guests to experience an unforgettable evening of celebration — full dance floors, big sing-along moments and a party atmosphere that lasted all night. For us, that’s always the best possible starting point and a sure sign we’re in for an incredible wedding!
Set in the heart of Berkshire, Wasing Park was the perfect backdrop for this gorgeous Autumn wedding. The couple’s personal touches brought the venue to life — from lanterns lining the ceremony aisle, to beautiful floral arrangements, and fairy lights dancing across the ceiling of the Castle Barn. The warm, romantic ambience set the tone perfectly for the celebrations that followed.
A Night of Live Music You’ll Never Forget
After discussing their vision for the day, it became clear that both male and female vocals were a must-have, along with a live saxophonist. Our 7-piece wedding showband was the perfect fit and exactly what we recommended. The set list was just as important to Emma & Phil, so we sent our full repertoire in advance, allowing them to hand-pick their favourites. The result? A high-energy mix of guaranteed dance floor fillers including All Night Long, Can’t Stop The Feeling, Signed, Sealed, Delivered and You’ve Got The Love — keeping the dance floor packed from the very first song.

Live Music for the Wedding Ceremony
Alongside the evening band, Emma & Phil also wanted to incorporate live music into their ceremony. They chose our solo keyboard package, which provided live music as guests arrived, during the processional, signing of the registers and the recessional.
The couple selected their ceremony songs in advance, allowing us to create a truly personal experience. A standout moment was a beautiful instrumental arrangement of Ordinary by Alex Warren, which accompanied the bride’s entrance and set the tone for the ceremony.

Wireless Musicians & Interactive Entertainment
Although the stage at Wasing Park’s Castle Barn is more than spacious enough for our full 7-piece line-up, we love taking the party to the dance floor. Using wireless mics and instruments, the band spilled into the crowd, creating unforgettable moments with song-roulette mash-ups, dance-off competitions and huge sing-along sections.
Emma & Phil led the way, getting fully involved and encouraging their guests to do the same, creating an electric from start to finish.
A Packed Dance Floor From Beginning To End
Our top tip to couples is always this:
“If you want your friends and family to dance, make sure you are dancing!”
Emma & Phil took this advice to heart, and it paid off in the best possible way. We performed two hours of high-energy, uninterrupted live wedding music, and the dance floor never emptied.
The night reached its emotional peak with You’ve Got The Love by Florence + The Machine as the final song. With the bride and groom at the centre, surrounded by their closest friends and family, everyone sang together as they danced their way into married life — a truly unforgettable ending to an incredible wedding celebration.
