There’s always a special moment at a gala dinner when the formalities begin to fade away and the celebrations take over. At the EAU Annual Congress, that moment happened inside Guildhall’s magnificent Great Hall, where an evening of dining and conversation gave way to a packed dance floor and a memorable night of live music.
With its breathtaking architecture and rich history, Guildhall is one of the most sought-after venues for luxury corporate events in London, and the stunning Great Hall provided an unforgettable setting for the evening’s entertainment.
We were asked to perform a set that would provide a segue for guests from the final moments of dinner service and turn the room into a party.
Live Corporate Entertainment At Guildhall London
For this event, Anthem Function Band provided our 9-piece corporate party band, featuring male and female vocalists, saxophone, trumpet, keyboards, guitar, bass, drums and percussion.
Dressed in black tie to complement the occasion, the band looked right at home in the elegant surroundings of Guildhall’s Great Hall. As guests finished dessert and conversations around the tables began to wind down, the first songs of our 90-minute live set signalled a shift in atmosphere.
One of the things we love most about performing at gala dinners and corporate events is that moment when guests aren’t quite expecting to leave their seats and then suddenly the dance floor starts to fill. Within a few songs, that’s exactly what happened.

A Gala Dinner Band That Brings The Party To The Room
Rather than launching straight into maximum energy, we built the set gradually, guiding guests from post-dinner drinks into a full dance floor atmosphere. We opened with a more stripped-back, soulful feel with Man I Need by Olivia Dean followed by If I Ain’t Got You by Alicia Keys, before lifting the energy and really opening things up with crowd favourites like Signed, Sealed, Delivered and Rock With You.
As a live band for corporate events, that transition is one of the parts we enjoy most. It’s all about reading the room, responding in real time, and creating the right moment for guests to relax and step into the celebration.

Interactive Live Music For Corporate Events
One of the standout features of the evening was the amount of interaction between the band and the guests. Using wireless microphones, our singers regularly left the stage and moved through the room, stopping at tables, singing with guests and bringing people into the performance. Those moments always create a buzz because they feel completely spontaneous.
The instrumentalists got involved too. Throughout the set, both our guitarist and saxophonist stepped onto the dance floor to perform amongst the crowd, creating some huge reactions and giving guests a front-row experience they weren’t expecting.
It’s these moments of interaction that can turn a great corporate party into a genuinely memorable one.
Live Entertainment For Luxury Gala Dinners
The Great Hall at Guildhall is an impressive room at any time, but seeing it filled with people dancing, singing and celebrating together is something special.
From the first song to the final chorus, the energy continued to build throughout the evening. What began as a formal Gala Dinner evolved into a lively corporate celebration, with guests making the most of the dance floor right until the end of the set.
For us, this event was a great reminder of why live music remains such a powerful addition to corporate entertainment. A great venue, a fantastic crowd and a packed dance floor beneath one of London’s most spectacular ceilings—it’s hard to ask for much more than that.
